It holds a distinguished place as a contributing property in the Warsaw Historic District and enjoys a spot on the National Registry of Historic Places, recognized by the United States Department of the Interior. Originally owned by Thomas Blackmore, the home passed through generations to his great-great grandson, Julian D. Gaines and his family.
